How do I make a private Morocco tour?
All our tours are private and can start any day of the year for any number of days.

What does a tour with Morocco Explored cost?
Our prices are mid-level, comparable with other companies who offer set itineraries, the difference being that your tour will be unique to your interests.
We respect our staff by training and paying them well, and provide retirement pensions. On cheaper tours you might find your driver sleeping in his vehicle to save money. Our drivers will have a room and shower and meals every day while working with you.
You’ll be treated with respect and receive great service from our associate providers and their employees.
Stay in authentic hotels and riads in great locations.
You'll stay in 3 or 4 star riads (luxury hotels upon request), simple or luxury desert camps (luxury camps may not be available June to August), small country inns (auberge), and historic kasbahs. Accommodation always includes breakfast and many include dinner.
Hotels have unique Morocco architecture, many have wood burning fireplaces, salons, swimming pools and terraces for meals and relaxing. They are charming and comfortable but tend to be cold in the winter in the mountain locations and the desert. Hotels have heaters and air conditioning in the rooms.
In Marrakech, Essaouira and Fez we use smaller hotels renovated from beautiful old Merchant houses in the old medina. In Casablanca we use a modern hotel in the heart of the city, or near the airport if needed.
We'll send your hotel contacts once you pay your deposit and we’ve received the booking confirmation from the hotels.
Travel in comfort.
We use Toyota, Mitsubishi, Nissan or similar SUV 4×4 vehicles for private tours. Our 4×4’s have lots of room and they seat 4 average sized people quite comfortably. All are within 5 years old and are routinely checked to have licensing and service updates with the Transport Touristic authority in Morocco.
We also use Renault or Mercedes minibuses seating 6 to 17 passengers for larger groups.
Vehicles and drivers are assigned to tours on the basis of who is available when and where. Our cars and drivers originate from Marrakech. It will take one whole day for the car and driver to reach places like Tangier or Fez or Casablanca, so this cost must be included in a tour starting or finishing in locations outside of Marrakech.
Why hire a driver guide?
We've had feedback from some of our clients who normally travel independently, that hiring a driver guide was the best decision they made for their visit to Morocco.
Not having to navigate to and from your hotels, hire your own car, find the routes, where to park, and worry about endless details, allows you to relax and enjoy the ever changing passing sites, listen to music you've never heard before, ask questions about what and where you are going, learn some Berber and Arabic sayings, and take the road less traveled.
As well your guide can create opportunities to meet Moroccans who are not working in tourism, visit a family for tea or a meal, and bridge the language barrier so you can learn on a personal level and enjoy a deeper experience of this amazing country and her people.

Please know that Morocco is still developing; things change, roads can be winding and rough, activities and things stop running or change, and weather can send the best laid plans out the door. We will do our best to provide what is planned and offer alternatives when things go sideways, but please take into consideration the nature of the journey that you are embarking on and understand that a certain degree of flexibility is necessary.
